One of the worst experiences of my times at Daytona. First rv had a bad battery that wouldn't hold a charge . No heat in 37° cold and no lights or refrigerator. Second rv was at least functional but worn out . Electric step didn't work and latch on screen door broken. Both old worn out rv's . Never again.

Escape Rental was a very responsive, professional and helpful company, but did not offer any concessions based on our stressful experience.
The RV Rex was very disappointing. It had so many issues in such a short period of time. We rented it from Wednesday thru Sunday. My first impression was that the RV was not as clean as it should be. I had to clean the appliances and countertops as they had fingerprints and crumbs on them. There was pet hair on the floor. We felt that most of the RV linens looked old, and mismatched. Beds looked sloppy like people had slept in them, very unappealing. Not to mention there weren't rails or a ladder to get up in the top bunk, so we couldn't use it. We couldn't use both showers at the same time as the water was always freezing in one. After my son took a freezing shower, the shower pan stopped up and wouldn't drain. The hot water heater and RV heating capability were spotty at best the entire time.The temperature never came up to the temperature that was set on the thermostat. The fireplace didn't work either. The control panel kept beeping and giving us an error code of E 1 every time we tried to run the hot water, fireplace, or the heater. The last night, we didn't have hot water, or heat and it was 50 degrees inside the RV. We couldn't use the showers and no ability to wash the kids with warm water. One family had to leave, the other was able to stay in their tent. I spent the night fully dressed with clothing for outside weather, complete with scarf, double hoody sweat shirts, double socks and several blankets. I was concerned about my children and grandchildren being outside in that cold weather. After all, the main reason for renting was in case of inclement weather and to have toilets and showers near by. It was a sleepless night for me.The TVs did not work, but that might have been a network or Wifi issue. The main shower door broke and Escape replaced it with a shower curtain. Most doors did not close probably or stay shut. Very disappointed as I expected more from a 2024 RV. Honestly, we just got tired of calling them to fix things. I would not recommend renting REX. Escape rental was very nice, however they only offered to take it to the shop, did not offer us any concessions for our trouble or this experience .☹️👎

Great experience ! From beginning to end, communication was easy and fast. Everything was set up as stated, had no issues.

It was nice showing up to the campground and having everything hooked up. However, the RV itself was not in good shape and there were several items either missing or broke. Broken items include the coffee maker. Missing items include the cable for the TV. The oven igniter did not work either.
I ultimately had to ask for onsite help from the Escape technicians; the assistant who answers questions via text was no help whatsoever. The technicians (Brian and Troy) that showed up were very nice and fixed the issues.
The towels and linens were very used or old.
The awning did not want to roll back up after we used it the first time.

Was disappointed in the cleanliness and value of our stay. Unknown to us, cleaning service after each stay is optional and it was very clear the RV had not been cleaned or sanitized. I used 4 or 5 swiffer pads to clean the floor when we arrived. After that, I was doubtful of the cleanliness of everything. What’s the $100 prep fee if not for cleaning before and after?
