ALWAYS remember to take photos both at the beginning of your trip and upon returning the RV to the owner Additionally, make it a practice to request a walkthrough before returning the trailer. As a newcomer to Outdoorsy, I deeply regret not adhering to these crucial steps. Our RV rental was with Cody, who exhibited exceptional communication prior to the trip. He promptly addressed all my inquiries. However, following the conclusion of the rental and the emergence of additional charges, his responsiveness has significantly diminished, if not entirely disappeared.Cody met us at the campsite to deliver the trailer. Due to unforeseen power limitations, a last-minute generator became necessary. Cody went above and beyond by providing a generator (which we paid for) and an extra 5-gallon gas can, fully fueled.Given the persistently high temperatures requiring continuous AC usage, we found ourselves purchasing and refilling fuel on two occasions.Upon delivery, I requested an RV walkthrough from Cody, which he readily accommodated. During this walkthrough, he highlighted prior damages and elaborated on normal wear and tear stemming from the quality of materials used.At the end of our trip, when I inquired about conducting a final walkthrough, Cody deemed it unnecessary. Unfortunately, unexpected charges arose that made me deeply wish I had insisted on it.During my initial walk through, Cody showed me how to do tank checks, explaining that one tank's apparent 1/3 capacity (likely due to a sensor issue) was, in reality, empty. He confidently assured us that our water supply would suffice for the entire weekend. We ended up running out of water by the morning of day 2, even though only two people had taken short showers. Intermittently, the AC would trip the generator, necessitating multiple restarts. Our AC usage was confined to daytime, reserving the nighttime solely for the fan.The RV has four bunk beds in a room with its own bathroom and a door to this section of the RV for privacy. It had a pull out couch and a dinette that converts into a bed (we did not use it for a bed), and a larger full size bed with another bathroom. Large pantry shelving and a deep freezer and refrigerator. A nice larger counter space for cooking and washing dishes. It also has indoor/outdoor speakers and a smart TV for entertainment. The outdoor speakers did not seem to be very loud and the indoor speaker were. It's a beauty.Upon returning the RV, we invested substantial effort into a thorough cleaning, with the aim of leaving it in a better state than when we initially received it. Although we inadvertently overlooked cleaning the freezer, all other aspects were diligently cleaned and wiped down. Regrettably, an additional fee was imposed for freezer (which we accept), a slightly scuffed plastic cup, and what Cody states was a dirty floor. There are pictures of water damage that Cody has attributed to us, leading to the withholding of our security deposit. We are uncertain how this occurred, as no water or drinks were permitted in that section of the RV. This is another matter that might have been addressed had we insisted on a final walkthrough.Initially, I was under the impression the rental allowed pets, with no indications of supplementary charges in the listing. However, we were later charged an additional fee. I'd advise potential renters to exercise caution by double-checking and confirming all details with the owner before proceeding, especially if planning to bring along pets.
