We absolutely loved our camper van vacation!! The Beach House on Wheels was amazing, all we could have asked for and more. The van allowed us to explore multiple locations on our family vacation. Our kids loved sleeping in the pop top! They have asked when our next van trip can be. I hope our travels bring us back to the Sacramento area because we would definitely rent again.

We needed a comfy vehicle to help my elderly parents relocate to Southern California, and the Beach House did the trick. We didn't do any camping or cooking with the van, but the seating was generous and traveling with our own bathroom was a big plus.

Jim, it was a delight hosting you and your family on your trek. Please reach out in the future for any van needs and thank you for taking such great care of our house on wheels.

Super fun vehicle! Took it camping to the beach, we are not avid outdoorsy types so this was a great way to go off the grid. Very helpful if you have kids due to the car seat accommodations and water tank. Easy to maneuver and is warm at night. The hosts were very kind. Enjoy!

We had a great time in beach house on wheels! Jess was terrific host. Everything went extremely smoothly. We took the van on a week long rafting trip on the Klamath River with our kids. It was stocked with everything we needed. Very easy to drive and plenty of space. Was a perfect home base for our adventures!

Our first Van/Camper adventure
We had been wondering for some time if we would like to try “Van camping”. My wife found a van/camper (Winnebago Solis) for rent in Woodland a town close to us. We got a “How to operate” lesson from the owner who afterwards also answered all of our newbie questions. (They were quickly available for any questions that we had during our 1 week trip along the California coast) Then after packing some clothes and food stuff we drove for our first night to a State Campground at Half Moon Bay. We found out that driving the van/camper was very similar to driving our cars. Later that night going to sleep in the upstairs “Pop Out” while listening to the sounds of the ocean convinced us that we had made a right decision to try this adventure. Later, while at another RV campground, we visited the State Park called Ano Nuevo. This is where you can see the Elephant Seals. These marine animals who haul out on this beach to give birth, mate, then return to the ocean weigh 5,000 lbs! While there we got a rare treat and saw two Elephant Seal mothers give birth. Baby Elephant Seals weigh 150 lbs! Then drove a few miles south along the coast to Santa Cruz and saw the beautiful Monarch butterflies! The highlight of our trip for sure. Then we visited Monterey Bay, saw another grove filled with the Monarch butterflies, visited several different restaurants eating some exciting meals and went into the awesome “Monterey Bay Aquarium”. This is one place everyone should visit. Beautifully designed with thousands of animals exhibited with many docents to explain what you are seeing. Afterwards, we went to the “Paris Bakery” near the aquarium. My wife needed no GPS for her favorite place! Like a bee we were there in moments sampling their pastries. Last couple of nights of our week rental we were again at a state park on the coast, this one at Bodega Bay. We still had food in the van/camper and again we were able to sleep listening to the ocean. The camp host is a friend of ours who we were happy to visit with. The adventure was to travel for a week, see a lot of wildlife, see and hear the ocean. We certainly accomplished that. And along the way we were to determine if we really liked the idea of doing all this again in a van/camper. We found that we really enjoy this ease of travel. We can eat our own meals if we want, sleep with the sound of the ocean, stop whenever we wanted along the amazingly beautiful California coast but most of all we rediscovered that we really enjoyed each other’s company. Yes! Yes, we would love to do another travel adventure again in a “van/camper”!

We had a fantastic time with the Beach House as the hosts made everything easy and straight forward. The van has everything you would want in a campervan and we cannot recommend it enough (we had 2 adults and our 1 yr old daughter and it was great). The hosts are very communicative and friendly, definitely would rent from them again!

From start to finish, renting this Winnebago van from Jess was a great experience! The owners take pride in their beautiful beach house on wheels, communicate clearly, are available when questions come up, and are enthusiastic about outdoor adventures. Pickup location is super convenient, and the unit is equipped with anything a person might need: dishes, utensils, towels, and totally thoughtful amenities like phone chargers, cooking spices, and an awesome outdoor cookbook. My husband and I enjoyed taking our 4 year old grandson to the Sonoma Coast; easy and fun trip with the van. Drives beautifully and plenty of room for all. Awesome people and rv!

We had a fabulous family getaway in the Beach House on Wheels! We're usually tent-campers, but we were visiting from out of state and needed a different camping solution for our trip to Sequoia/Kings Canyon and Yosemite with our 3 kids. Jess had the camper so nicely stocked with everything we needed- sheets, pillows, blankets, chairs, even cooking staples! We were super impressed with how easy the van was to drive and park- even around crowded summer spots like Yosemite and Bass Lake. The 3 kids slept in the pop-top and the grownups slept on the bench bed (warning if you're 6' or taller- you'll be sleeping diagonally, but it works). If you've never camped in a trailer/RV/van before, this was a very easy first trip- my 7 year old boy was capable of dumping the grey tank and my 10 year old boy was in charge of refilling with water. We can't recommend this experience enough! :)

Jess was beyond accommodating for me and my family with this amazing van. Its SO CLEAN and well maintained, we rented this to think about purchasing one ourselves and she was beyond helpful and knowledgeable. I HIGHLY recommend going with her and the Beach House Van for your next trip!

We took the Beach House to our family camping trip near Yuba City and this was the perfect rental for my family. There was 4 adults and 1 baby and we fit perfectly in here. Jess was an amazing host! She’s so easy to communicate with, and she provided all the amenities we needed for our trip. My husband and I kept saying we didn’t need to pack anything because this van was fully stocked. If I get a chance to rent a van in the future, I will definitely rent the beach house again.

Angelica it was my pleasure to host you all and look forward to next years rental :)

Jess was incredibly responsive, flexible, and communicative. We were in the unique situation of needing to drive a newborn and his parents 500 miles to their home. Jess went above and beyond to make sure the van was immaculate and was understanding about our unpredictable timeline. Jess made what might have been a harrowing experience, a gift that will be remembered for a lifetime.

It was a pleasure and an honor to share the beach house with your family :)
