Beware! These owners are deceptive and take no responsibility to ensure their vehicle is safe, road-worthy, in working condition, and comfortable. The pictures do not accurately reflect the current condition of the vehicle. When we arrived to pick-up, we noted that there was a broken window covered with plexiglass and cardboard. Owner claimed it just happened but also stated the vehicle "isn't the Hilton and that's why it is priced the way it is" (based on that comment and the fact I booked months prior leads me to question if it really just happened). The broken window was poorly sealed with plexiglass, cardboard, and silicone. The owner brushed off our concerns of leaking. Well sure enough, when we encountered rain it leaked and because the silicone was not sealed, bugs were able to get in. Not to mention the concern for safety when there is a window not fully sealed.Side mirror cameras only worked intermittently (advertised safety measure so would consider this safety concern).Loud squealing engine belt noise over 45mph (safety concern).Microwave worked but did not heat food (very inconvenient).Screen door with many holes (can't leave open for airflow unless you want bugs in RV).Arrived on time for pick-up, had to wait 15min for owner because he was in a meeting (inconsiderate).Poor door seal leading to lots of road noise.Missing planks on interior wood below stove (not in pictures listed)Broken shadesPrivacy curtain had no way to attach.Exterior with many scratches (not in pictures listed). Windshield was bug covered. Very dirty above certain level. The owners response was to offer a free night stay. Last thing we wanted was another night in this piece of junk. Not to mention, is it really free when I would have to pay for campsite?I am a reasonable person but this was so ridiculous. These owners have a responsibility to thoroughly review the condition of their vehicle (from all aspects) and disclose in a timely manner any items that may affect the safety and comfort of the renters so that the renters can determine if they want to proceed with the rental. Telling someone these issues at pick-up when they are likely getting right on the road for vacation is unacceptable and feels like they are intentionally taking advantage of the renter. Even 24hr notice would allow renters to make other arrangements if necessary.
