Betty the Campervan is an absolute dream on wheels! From the moment we picked her up, we were thrilled by how well-maintained and thoughtfully designed she is. The interior is beautifully laid out, with every inch optimized for comfort and convenience. The cozy interior is perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring, and the double bed is incredibly comfortable—perfect for a restful night's sleep.Driving Betty is an absolute delight! Despite her being a camper van she handles smoothly on the road, making both city driving and countryside adventures enjoyable. The campervan is equipped with everything you need for a perfect getaway, from her cooking utensils to her basic sink set up and twinkly lights. We loved the clever storage spaces that kept everything organized and tidy throughout our trip.What really stood out was how reliable and well-cared-for Betty felt. Everything worked flawlessly, and it’s clear she has been meticulously maintained. Whether we were parked by the beach or in the mountains, Betty provided a cozy and comfortable home base.We can’t recommend Betty enough for anyone looking for an stress-free and enjoyable campervan adventure. She truly exceeded all of our expectations and made our trip unforgettable!

The van was great and Kate was amazing at communicating and staying in touch. We had a great time on our road trip to northern Vancouver island and would book Betty again without hesitation.

Me and a friend rented this van for 5 days to take up the coast, and our experience with Betty was poor, unfortunately for us. The quality of the van is low and not up to standards to be rented out. The van is too small for more than one person, appliances didn't work (power bank up front has faulty cord, sink water tube too short so we couldn't actually use it when the jug wasn't fully full, the exterior didn't match images (has huge drywall decal on side, lots of rust and exterior damage, windshield full of cracks), the windshield wipers don't work, it's too small to actually be inside except to sleep and we struggled to store our carry on luggage inside, the cooler didn't keep our food cold for long with ice, and the van felt old and unsafe to drive on wet roads. It was one thing after another when using this van over 5 days. I could see if this was your own van, you'd learn to deal with the quirks, but for a first time renter expecting a fully working accommodation, this was not the case.

Hi Sarah,We are so sorry that your experience was subpar. Typically, we do our best to rectify any issues during the trip, unfortunately none of this was communicated to us during your rental. A few things to note:• The inverter and hose have since been replaced- thank you for the feedback.
• It’s unfortunate that the size of the van didn’t meet your expectations, however the description is clear on what size and type of van is being offered. We often have couples rent Betty (she has a double bed), and have never been told it is too small. For any of your future Outdoorsy rentals, please properly read and understand the listing details prior to renting.
• In terms of the safety and functionality of the van, it is inspected by a qualified mechanic once every 2 months and is deemed safe and road-ready prior to going out on any trips, which we informed you in the check in details. In the two years of owning Betty she has never had any safety or mechanical issues.
• The cooler is less than 6 months old and is an Igloo (a high-quality brand). They will keep food cold for about two days and then you must replace the ice. The cooler is not a refrigerator.
• We tested the windshield wipers and they were functioning well.
• As per the the windshield, when we have minor chips from a previous guest’s trip, that does not affect the safety of the van, our preference is to not cancel our guests long awaited trips, so we book this fix in when the Van has a day or two between trips. Betty is booked in to have the chip fixed next week when the Van is back.
• The decal is an asset to many renters that are unable to secure campsites and need to park the van inconspicuously in towns and cities. We often receive very positive feedback from our renters on the van having this, and therefore will not be removing the decal.Whilst we appreciate the feedback on the inverter and the hose, the other complaints are not valid and have never been noted by previous renters, who give us 5 star glowing reviews. We are sorry you didn’t have a great experience. For future campervan adventures, please consider an RV at a significantly higher price point that may better suit your higher demands. Thank you

As accommodating as we tried to be, Raphael and his party had a difficult time following instructions, which made for less-than-perfect experience. We communicated multiple times the van return time (which is also shared on the listing upon booking), as we had another booking going out that day, which he elected not to honor. In addition, he required add-ons which he wouldn’t purchase via the app. They were very lovely people, but might be better suited to a rental car company that has a fleet of vans.

Had an amazing 2.5 week roadtrip with Hilaree. From Vancouver Island to the Rockies, she brought us to the most amazing places. She is spacious and very comfortable. Definitely recommend!
