Fantastic lil trailer, we took it to Vancouver Island, and camped along the way, it was great to have the roof over our heads when it rained, and it was super cozy for a family of four to sleep inside

Ted was great to work with and took the time to explain everything in detail. We had a great time in the Cricket; it kept us dry over a weekend of heavy rain. The kids loved sleeping in the top bunks. Thanks again.

The cricket was a perfect little camper for exploring Eastern Oregon. I had never towed anything before, but the cricket is small and light-weight so you barely know it’s behind you.It’s got just enough space to hang out in at night, but we spent most of our time outside enjoying nature. We brought our inflatable mattress pads for a more comfy night sleep.Ted was very communicative and checked up to make sure everything was all good. If I don’t buy a cricket I’ll for sure rent this one again! Thanks for an awesome time Ted!

We had an amazing trip to the Oregon coast with this Cricket! Ted was amazing in helping to get us on the road and communicated so effectively! Be careful- this little trailer will make you want to buy one of your own!!

Excellent experience from start to finish. Ted has equipped the trailer with everything we needed. Good communication, and easy pick up and drop off. The Cricket more than lived up to our expectations, and we fully recommend Ted and the Cricket!

Ted and the Taxa Cricket were fantastic, this was my first time using the service and while there were pain points with Outdoorsy in general, Ted was fantastic every step of the way, and the Taxa Cricket was a wonderful trailer for our four days at the beach. If you don’t already have trailer wiring for your vehicle go to Curtis trailers, and allow three weeks for an appointment, they’ll do a much better job than my personal experience with U-Haul. Also you’ll need a 7 pin RV connector, versus a basic 4 pin trailer connector, and you might need a brake booster. The trailer slept myself, my partner, and our eight and four-year-old in perfect comfort, although when it was just me and the kids I have a lot more room to stretch out on the bottom bunk. If you rent this trailer and go to a state park be prepared to talk to people because it’s still a fairly new item in the marketplace, people have questions, or they’re looking at one, etc. etc. I let more than one person look inside just so they could get a feel how the cricket looks when stuff is spread out everywhere.Everything after this is a review of the Outdoorsy service and does not reflect on Ted or on his vehicle.
When renting the trailer, your credit card company will suspect fraud, so rent the trailer early in the day so you have time to call and verify the charge. Outdoorsy was rubbish when trying to clear this up.
Save the pickup address under a contact you create in your phone, it’s difficult find in any of the emails that outdoorsy sends.
Outdoorsy encourages RV owners to solicit renters to choose their coach as an alternative. The email came out of left field and while I ignored it, I found it off putting.
Lastly Outdoorsy will email you on your second to last day of the rental suggesting that you take photos of the renter vehicle in the event you need to file a claim.

We had the best time and Ted is super easy to work with. He was very thorough and knowledgeable with ins and outs of the TAXA. Pickup and drop off of the camper was completed in a timely manner. There were cooking amenities that was not listed in the description and that came in super helpful during the trip. We would love to rent from Ted again. Thanks Ted!

The Cricket was amazing and is a perfect long weekend trailer. Given its weight it was easy to trailer without killing my gas mileage. Ted was great at reviewing all the Ins and outs of the camper. Incredible experience and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away while still having some great creature comforts.
