We had a great weekend trip in Balou. Comfortable bed, space for our puppy, all the items you really need, and easy pick up and drop off. We will definitely be renting again.

Nikolaus was a fantastic host, very thorough in our initial walkthrough and accommodating (he met us at the BART station!). The van itself was amazing, Lots of little details that clearly had been thought through. Would highly recommend!

Balou was perfect. So comfortable. Niko has thought of most everything in terms of convenience and logistics. I slept so well. It was never too cold or too hot. The battery was efficient. And it was easy to drive. Niko was great to work with. Thank you again!

N & A were amazing hosts and the van was perfect. It’s clear they put a ton of thought and work into the van, everything had a place, made sense and worked well. Great size for 2 people and 2 dogs. Shower, fridge, stove, bed, acceleration, suspension, everything was great. We spent 9 days on the road through CA and OR, van drives great on both highway and gravel roads. Would absolutely take this rig for another trip!

Second time renting this van because we love it so much! It is so well stock and organized, everything is labeled and easy to use. The owners are so wonderful and responsive. Highly recommend.

Balou is a meticulously outfitted and organized van that was a perfect introduction for us van life newbies! Niko and Annette have thought of every detail in this van. Moreover, they were great to work with and understanding when we ran late due to extra traffic on our way home. Thanks for an amazing adventure and getting us even more excited to build our own van some day!

10 out of 10 experience. Balou was absolutely perfect for my girlfriend and I. Drives like a car, comfortable seating and bed, kitchen is a great size, outdoor shower was our favorite part. All around awesome time, will definitely be renting Balou again.

We had a lovely time camping with Balou! The van came equipped with everything that one might need. Niko and Annette took the time to walk us through the camper and all its amenities. The van was extremely clean and obviously well cared for.
