Elly May just seemed right for our “new to us” girl. A sweet, springtime name meaning “sunbeam”! She’s an outdoorsy kinda girl with a spirit of adventure to match her name. From East coast to West coast and back again, she’s seen it all and has proven herself for many adventures. Now she is ready for a new chapter of New England summertime roadtrips for those who appreciate iconic memories that will last a lifetime! If you’re looking for a luxury roadtrip, Elly May not be for you. But, if you’ve always dreamed of camping in a Pop Top VW Vanagon Westfalia and capturing the essence of freedom for a few nights, this is your opportunity! She is ready to go with room enough for 4 (best for 2) with a conversion bed below and the pop top cushion above. On board water, sink and propane stove top. Fridge is only for pantry storage. We use a Yeti cooler for keeping food ice cold. Electrical and water hookups are also available. Jump back into the 80’s, forget the a/c, roll down your windows, open the screens and breathe in the fresh summer air. You’ll be glad you did! =)-Elly May has a top speed of 60 miles per hr! VW Vanagons were not made for speed, but rather for slowing down and enjoying the ride. So, make sure your not in a rush, just enjoy the journey!
-The Yeti cooler doubles as a bench seat/ coffee table and step up to the pop top.... the extra step makes a big difference!
-Pop top has great ventilation with built in screens on all sides. It's my personal preference for sleeping and offers a more firm mattress verses the cushion on the bench seat conversion which is a little thicker. We also have an egg crate to make it softer.
What's includedMedium fry pan, small and medium boiling pan, Spatula, serving spoon, 4x plastic plates, cups, small bowls, silverware, 1 Medium serving bowl with lid, a cutting knife/ cutting board, 2x coffee mugs, French Press coffee maker, tea kettle, collapsible dish washing basin, dish and hand soap, multi purpose cleaner, paper towels, trash bags, lighter for stove top, can opener and a few basic spices.
-2x folding camp chairs
-45 quart Yeti cooler
-Screens for slider/ hatch door
-Privacy curtains
RecommendationsNew Hampshire has so many great places to visit. One of our favorites is Pawtuckaway State Park... beautiful simple camping surrounded by a huge lake to explore, miles of hiking trails, Glacier boulder fields, and much more. We use our 2 blow up Kayaks to explore the lake with its many little islands. The kayaks both fit in the storage area above the driver area and are available as an add on rental if you are interested!Other things to note-Manuel transmission 4 speed
-Top speed 60 mph
-No A/C fresh air only with screens for great ventilation
-Pop top bed is for smaller sized people (max weight 350)
-Pack lite! There is limited space for stuff. Keep it simple and basic!
-No pets (for more info see our pet policy)
-Fridge is for pantry storage only. We use a yeti cooler which is included in the rental and works great for several days.
-Inverter works off accessory battery and is great for charging phones, etc.
-No smoking

Getting outside is our happy place! Audrey and I love spending time exploring the great outdoors with our kids. Some of our best memories (so far) have been made camping, kayaking, fishing and cooking yummy meals over an open fire…. And of course, S’mores for dessert! Audrey likes to point out that having an inviting, clean, dry space to sleep makes a BIG difference ;) We are also DIYers… And that’s why we found a nice older camper in need of some love and turned it into our “Farmhouse on Wheels” affectionately known as “Farmy”. After we finished renovations we decided we had to share “Farmy” with other families so they can make great memories too! Since then, we’ve added another rig to our lineup…. “Miss Dilly Dally” a great off grid, camper van for 2-3 people.
And we hope to add more options in the future!
