Hazel is a 2013 Jayco Redhawk 31XL. Hazel has traveled across the country and has visited a number of National Parks; she is ready to take you on your family's perfect adventure. Hazel served us well as we adventured as a full-time traveling family around the US.For safety, Hazel has a backup camera that operates when in reverse. She also has a camera mounted on her rear to give the driver a full view behind the rig while driving. This safety feature is paramount in offering drivers peace of mind.Hazel comes with a fully stocked kitchen and a sizable fridge. She provides sheets on the beds: two queens and twin bunks. The sofa converts to a full-sized bed. The renter will bring full-sized sheets if using the pull-out couch. Some blankets are provided, but the renter may want to bring more (seasonal). Her bathroom boasts a comfortable shower, sink, and toilet. Toilet paper provided; only use "septic safe" paper. The renter brings all towels - no bath/hand towels provided. And lastly, Hazel has storage galore! The queen bedroom offers a large closet and a set of drawers to fit enough for a vacationing family. Her pantry is great for storing snacks for the road...and more! We offer a moderate array of DVDs, games, and art supplies.Check out my add-on packages for specialty items based on destination. RecommendationsNational Parks - nothing beats taking a rig into a National Park and spending a dark night looking at the stars. Amazing! Breathtaking! And as a bonus, you are *right* there for all the amenities a National Park offers - hikes, education, shopping, and more! Check out Great Smoky Mountains National Park in North Carolina or Cape Hatteras National Seashore in Buxton, North CarolinaLocal state parks - we don't always see the beauty around us in our local area because we are busily schlepping this and that here and there. But the magic of state parks allows you to visit your local area and enjoy a getaway without the hassle of a long drive or an unknown area. Take a look at your close state parks - they can't be beat for the value and adventure offered! In this area, Falls Lake State Park or Lake Jordan State Park. Other things to noteNO SMOKING!TOWELS NOT PROVIDED - please be sure to bring your own bath and beach towels.Renters may want to bring additional blankets for the beds. Meet your host, Tara

Member since 2021

We are adventurers. We are travelers. In 2018, the children and mom tent camped in 17 states and experienced state parks in most. Later, my teens and I spent 15 months living in our camper full-time and had as many adventures as possible from 2020-2021. We visited TONS of National Parks and had experiences in 32 states. We looked for the "off-the-beaten-path" excursions and enjoyed some unique sites across the country. Some of our favorite places: Sodus Bay, NY on Lake Ontario; Donner Pass in Truckee, CA; Alamogordo, NM and the beauty of White Sands National Park; Bryce Canyon National Park in Bryce Canyon, UT.

Hazel did pretty well for us on a 6,000 mile adventure across the US. We had a number of mechanical issues on our trip that detracted from the fun but Tara was super responsive and helpful in working through them. Overall think Hazel is just getting on in her years but would def recommend for shorter, less demanding trips. It was awesome having the bunk bed layout and surprisingly easy to drive.

Tara Stanford canceled the booking 7 days before departure. This is an automated posting.

Tara’s answer

Due to an electrical issue in the cabin (house part of the camper), the owner refunded this booking. The owner took necessary steps to ensure that the vehicle was fully operational for all renters. The renter was notified 10 days in advance and given the option of cancelling; the renter opted to cancel and was refunded fully.
