Chateau Safari is your one stop shop for your exploration needs. Why pay for a hotel and a car when you can have both and not be bound by itineraries! This van has everything you need to get you to waterfalls and hidden beaches, mountains and plains. I can also guide you to the spot in Tofino where you don't have to pay for parking and where the van lifers go for free!Chateau's body style is the perfect size, not too big and not too small. She is drives just like any other car. The V6 engine is not like the other huge V8 that you find in most larger camper van which drink double the gas. The Thule extra storage on the roof will make sure you're not being cramped by your luggage inside.I can also help you plan your trip and make sure your time on the west coast is as fun as possible. The sky is the limit here in BC, well unless you hike up a mountain that is.Pets are allowed but I will have to charge an extra $50 for a separate set of bedding sheets.I am also flexible and happy to pay for anything you feel the van may need during your trip.So come for a ride and let Chateau Safari make your van life dreams come true! What's includedIncluded:
-Solar panel for continuous charging of the house battery
-Inverter to charge laptops and devices, but not larger things like hairdryers
-Medium sized electric refrigerator provides 24/hr cooling (optional extra smaller classic style cooler if more space is desired)
-Thule extra roof storage
-Rack on top for transporting surfboards, etc.
-Fresh linens, pillows, bedding
-Propane cooking stove
-All utensils and cutlery, plus all other cooking tools to cook up a storm
-Water tank and tub for cleaning dishes
-Heated blanket to keep you warm at night
-Lithium battery to help power your trip
-Camping chairsRecommendationsVancouver Island is rated number one travel destination island in the world for 2023!Come start your trip on the Pacific loop to Port Renfrew and up to Lake Cowichan (aka Canada's lake Como). Then drive up the Malahat and either go towards Tofino, stopping by the Cathedral Park and see the giant trees is a must, or go north towards the wild north end of the island. Anything north of Courtney is just wild and you cant go wrong anywhere you go.You can also hop on the ferry and explore the sunshine coast or drive towards Kelowna. I have rented multiple vans and had people go as far as Calgary and back. There is endless adventures to be had here in BC.Other things to noteI just ask that there is no smoking in the vehicle. And absolutely no driving while intoxicated, alcohol, weed, hard drugs.I work a day job, so if you are coming on a weekday, please plan your travels for either before or after the work day. I can 7-8am or after 3:30pm. If it is an absolute must to have it during working hours, we can work something out.

Hello everyone, my name is Igor and I am a full time Van Lifer. I absolutely love the lifestyle and want to share it with the world, there really is no better way to travel. I live both out of my van and boat, professional vagabond? After 6 years in Newfoundland finishing my degree, I found my way to Van Island and have absolutely fallen in-love with it. Come rent Betsy and let me show you the best that this island has to offer!

Chateau Safari is a camper van astutely crafted by its friendly owner Igor. In its simplicity, it feels reliable (like it’s owner) and it is impressively well equipped, has everything and more, including amazing ceiling lights, thanks to the solar panel.
Chateau Safari is an older but sturdy vehicle where everything functions and as an aging lady (like me), it certainly added its charm to my solo outdoor venture in Port Renfrew area.

Igor was incredibly friendly and accommodating. He went above and beyond by picking us up from the airport and dropping us off in the city center after our rental, all at no extra charge. The car, despite being an older model and well-used, was extremely reliable and had excellent fuel efficiency. We felt safe driving it from Victoria to Tofino via Port Renfrew and back. It provided all the necessary amenities for a simple and enjoyable outdoor trip.

Our island adventure was amazing and unforgettable! We credit a huge part of that to the incredible van we rented from Igor. It was like a cozy home on wheels, perfectly equipped for everything we needed to camp and explore freely. Every question we had, big or small, Igor answered immediately with friendly and helpful advice.
Pro tip: Take advantage of the shoulder seasons! We cruised around with barely any crowds and scored epic campsites wherever we wanted.

My partner and I had an awesome time in Igor’s van! It was our first time in a camper van and won’t be our last. The van had everything we needed and more and the bed was super comfy which was a huge bonus. Lost of storage space in the van and in the roof rack above. Thanks Igor!
