The solar eclipse has come and gone. We hope you were able to find a spot to watch! Now it is time to plan spring time adventures. Youth soccer, baseball, lacrosse and tack are in full swing. You could be the talk of the team with Thing2! While waiting for different games to begin you can hang out with cold drinks and grill food. Push the button for the awing and instantly have some shade. If spring time sports aren't you, no need to fret. Campgrounds are opening, flowers and the cherry trees down in DC are beginning to bloom! Spring is a beautiful season. Go for an adventure, see a friend or family. Maybe go steel head fishing in Upstate. For those diehard skiers there are a few places still open. Don't forget spring skiing/riding is a blast! Come home and tell your friends and coworkers you shredded Superstar at The Beast and you will blow their mind. They may be in the "it's almost beach time" and you're still hitting the bumps!Another favorite thing this time of year is to do a tour of New England. For the savy, you can ski, golf, mountain bike and hit the beach all in a few days.If you are a golfer Thing2 has you covered - bring your clubs with you and keep them in the lockable exterior storage on the back. What's includedLinens are changed after every renter. The rental includes mattress topper and down comforter. Kitchen utensils are light weight and hi-tech. If you wanted to go for a hike in the woods use the gear that's in the van. A French press coffee roaster, grinder and a jetboil. Cooking is completed by using the single induction stove and frying pan or a four quart pot large enough for a full chicken. Rental also includes two camping chairs. RecommendationsPlan your adventure using Thing2. This time of year is all about snow sports. Skiing, snowboarding, ice fishing (no driving on lakes or off-roading), snowmobiling, snow shoeing and beyond. Book your travel now and know you will be self sufficient for a few days and able to focus in one area or chase something larger. We have a 5 acre plot of land in Johnson, VT that renters are welcome to stay at for no additional charge. The location is in the GPS. Finding locations in the winter is a little sporty. We have been doing this for a few years and have found some good spots to overnight. While skiing, you can get back to Thing2 for a hot meal and a private bathroom. Enjoy some apres action trail side and wait for the traffic to subside. We use the included electric cooktop and pot to make warm lunch and enjoy the private bathroom. Getting geared up in Thing2 is quite reasonable.
The bathroom is a great spot to hang you outerwear, the garage under the bed is great for keeping your bots nice and warm. When winter testing Thing2's capabilities, we have overnighted in about -5 degree weather and we were plenty warm. Be sure to have about 1/2 tank of fuel and drive for about 30 minutes to get a decent charge into the house battery and you should be fine. If you've read this far, thank you and think you would love your experience in Thing2.

I enjoyed my time in Thing2 so much that I had to rent it again, and bring the wife along this time.
Just as before, the experience was top-notch. Michael had Thing2 cleaned up and ready to go for us. Pick-up/drop-off were a breeze.
We utilized Harvest Host to stay at Taylor Brooke Brewery/Winery in Woodstock, CT the first night and visited family in RI the second night. We had an absolute blast of a quintessential New England fall weekend. Gorgeous weather, delicious drinks, beautiful foliage, and some awesome hiking/exploring.
Thanks again, Michael for going above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our weekend adventure!
Looking forward to the next one!

Thing2 exceeded my expectations.
Michael is a great host; he took the time to go through all the Revel’s systems and quirks/features and those of the Mercedes chassis. The van was spotless on pick up; fresh water full, gray water empty, cassette toilet empty and clean, and batteries/fuel full.
I took the van up to the NEK in VT to mountain bike at Kingdom Trails for the weekend and the 4ish hour drive was stress-free thanks to the immaculate condition of the van (up-to-date on service, plenty of tread on the tires, etc). The adaptive cruise worked flawlessly, even bringing the van to a full stop when needed. Combined with the lane centering and blind-spot monitoring, this rig almost drove itself. At camp, the 360 camera made parking this rig easier than a car. After parking the Revel quickly morphs into a true base camp, where it was the center of the party. Can’t wait to book Thing2 again for winter ski trips and check out all of the cool ski parking spots Michael has saved in the GPS.

5 Star Epic Experience!
Mike made the whole process of renting the camper easy and
informative, from the first conversation until we brought the
camper back.
This was our first time with this type of vehicle and we planned to
explore the coast of Maine. When we arrived to pick up the
camper he patiently and diligently reviewed all the features and
details we needed to know for a successful excursion.
The camper itself was everything he told us it would be. The
Mercedes platform was easy to drive while the engine and
transmission were smooth and quiet. The camper was very clean
when we arrived.
The Revel had many features to make camping less challenging,
for example: the storage “garage” under a comfortable bed, well
thought out lighting, and a good size refrigerator with easy access
from inside and outside of the vehicle. The size and length of the
camper is great for parallel parking when in town on a city street
while using all the camera angles (and a great spotter). We never
had to search for oversized parking anywhere we went. We also
discovered we that with this ~19 foot length van we could access National Park roads and destinations
that are restricted to other vehicles that are over 21ft.
Overall, a great experience. Many thanks to Mike for his kind
assistance and help!

Michael was awesome to worth with. The van was super clean and well equipped, and he offered other supplies for us to use if needed. Super happy with the trip and would highly recommend!

Thing2 was exactly what we needed for a week touring around Vermont with our family of three. Everything was clean and well-organized. Michael was easy to communicate with about the trip and very accommodating.

Where to begin, this was our first cross country trip and first time using a class B camper van and we couldn’t have picked a better host/vehicle. Michael was amazing in his communication, explanations and insights. He really made us comfortable and was available during our trip if we had any questions. The vehicle, Thing2, was perfect for us in every way. We lived in it for roughly a month, traveling from the Badlands, to Yellowstone, Tetons, Bryce, Zion, NV, Grand Canyon, and more. It was the trip of a lifetime and Thing2 really made it enjoyable. Even in sweltering 115 degree desert heat we were comfortable. I can’t recommend Michael and Thing2 enough, if you are considering any sort of trip, weekend ski up in VT, or long national parks exploration like we did, this is who you want to go with.
